Traction Software Announces Traction® TeamPage™: Free Download Includes Five Login Accounts and Five Projects, so Large and Small Enterprises Can Try TeamPage for Zero Commitment and Cost
Providence, RI—March 26, 2007—Traction® Software, the leading developer of products for secure, scalable, web-based collaboration, today announced a free, five-user, five projects download of its award-winning TeamPage™ enterprise blog and wiki solution. InfoWorld named Traction TeamPage "Best Enterprise Wiki" in its January 2007 Technology of the Year awards. The TeamPage™ software is available immediately for download at www.TractionSoftware.com.
According to Mike Heck, contributing editor for the InfoWorld Test Center, who wrote a four product Enterprise Wiki review published January 5, 2007: “Traction TeamPage clearly placed above the others with its superior ease of use and query ability that presented each user with just the knowledge they need.” In the review, Heck also remarks on ease of installation, out-of-the-box suitability for enterprise, and ease of publishing and navigation.
“This offer is a great way for small companies and large enterprises alike to start using the power of TeamPage with zero commitment or expense. The TeamPage configuration is a great product for personal or small team use, often the seed and necessary starting point for a larger deployment” said Greg Lloyd, president and co-founder of Traction Software. “The future of team collaboration goes beyond blogs and wikis to solutions that bring the best features of each into one platform to support secure, scalable collaboration with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, customers and partners throughout the extended enterprise.”
TeamPage's Java™ server software can be downloaded and easily installed on Windows, SPARC and Intel based Solaris, Linux and MAC OS X computers. There are no other dependencies, so you don’t have to worry about installing and configuring other web servers, scripting languages or databases. TeamPage customers who wish to develop TeamPage extensions can use Traction's Skin Definition Language (SDL) and Java Software Development Kit (SDK) to develop plug-ins for their own use, to share, or to sell.
